Class Descriptions

Zumba: Zumba is for everyone! Stop exercising and start dancing – with the help of the Latin-inspired easy-to-follow, calorie-burning Zumba dance-fitness party. Feel the music and let loose!

Gentle Yoga: A mix of poses that will relax, repair, restore and renew. Gentle Yoga will have poses that will place you on the floor, also in seated and standing positions. You will practice movements that will awaken, stretch, and strengthen all parts of your body.

Warrior Sculpt: Flowing sequence of poses that will challenge your body as you simultaneously de-stress your mind. Come sweat, move your body and smile.

No Limits Circuits: Variety is the spice of life and meaningful variety is the key to improving fitness. This class is designed to enhance total-body functional strength, endurance, and stability. Each workout will incorporate multi-joint/multi-muscle function exercises with rubber resistance, medicine balls, dumbbells, and more.

Exercise of the Week: This class is available only to Fitness Center members. There will be a demonstration of the exercise followed by an opportunity for participants to try it. This is a great way to add variety into your workout and learn more about the equipment that is available. This class will be held at the Fitness Center.

Tune Up: Combines low impactaerobics with strength training with free weights, bands, and bars.

Cut to the Core: 30 minute class of core-focused exercises with the goal to define your abs, strengthens your back and improves your posture for a healthier
lifestyle. Get ready to train the body from the inside out; while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention. Challenge your core as you
balance, strengthen and stabilize with a variety of exercises.

NEW – Yoga for Health: Its designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of individuals interested in improving their level of fitness.

NEW – Zumba Circuit Combines the best of Latin American inspired dance party while adding a mix of strength training.. Get your workout while having fun.

The above classes are ongoing with no registration required! Attend when it works with your schedule. All classes held at the St. Clair American Legion.

Punch cards are $50 for 10 classes or $7 for drop ins. Punch cards may be purchased at class or through St. Clair Community Education.

New Equipment

New equipment and classes at St. Clair Fitness Center Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for this addition at the St. Clair Fitness Center.

The HD-1900 Dual Pulley System has 28 pulley positions, spaced in 2” intervals. The dual pulleys allow for bilateral or unilateral exercises. The silent weight stacks make your time at the Fitness Center a workout for your muscles, not your ears!

Seated Elliptical Exercise MachineAlso arriving at the St.Clair Fitness center in the next few weeks is the XR6000 seated elliptical.

Make each workout a personalized one with the XR6000. With heart-rate controlled or constant-output programs this seated elliptical will burn more calories and utilize more glutes than a traditional recumbent bike.
